How do I start a career as a dog trainer and where do I begin learning dog training from?
I want to build my career as a dog trainer but i'm totally inexperienced with training dogs. I need a stepping stone but where do I begin? If I don't intend to study abroad, where can I learn dog training in Singapore? Any workshops or courses to recommend? Usually how do beginners get people to trust them to train their dogs? And if I don't want to be a freelance dog trainer, are there any company I can work for? And also, all the above mentioned questions have to be resolved within Singapore. I am a Singaporean and I do not wish to go overseas because I have no money to go abroad.This is my second enquiry on being a dog trainer.Any wise advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Are there other types of guard dog training other than schutzhund or is that the best?

Service dog training help and tips needed please?
Please only answer this question if you have ever raised a puppy to become a service dog for an organization like CCI or Guide dogs for the Blind.I have autism and am getting a puppy soon that I would like to train to be a service dog. And please don't give me crap, I know training a puppy is very time consuming and requires lots of patience. I want to know what exactly I should do to socialize the pup. After training basic obedience, at what point do you begin to take the puppy everywhere with you, like the store, etc.? I just need to make sure I do this right, don't overwork the puppy, but still train it well. Thank you in advance You guys are no help. There are laws in my state allowing a person to train their own service dog and take a dog in training anywhere a service dog would be allowed. I know I can't give my pup to CCI, I just want to know their puppy raising standards so I know how to raise and socialize my pup before I start the service dog training. I am a very capable trainer, and I am capable of training a service dog.
How much does it cost for dog training classes where you live?
I often see people on here claiming that they cannot afford to take their dog to training classes.I live in the UK, and I pay 7 for a 1 year family membership to the dog training club, plus 2 per lesson, one lesson per week lessons working towards the KC Good Citizen scheme. There was another class elsewhere in the city that was better for problem dogs, endorsed by apdt apdt.co.uk that was roughly the same price.Are training classes really expensive where you live? Are they out of the range of most people? Or do people just not realise how affordable training classes are? When there's a good behavior, I reward. Depressed/Unsocializing Dog and Dog Training?
Hi, I just recieved a new dog. A Mini Aussie. Adorable. He is just a pup. We took him from his family and I believe that is why he is depressed. I know he is new to us and we are new to him so it is likely for him not to be social. Be he is also showing signs of depression. He cried a lot the first day we took him home. He plays and gives us kisses, but he is not energetic and social. Sometimes when I come lay down next to him he will move somewhere else and lay there or go under something and lay there. He lays all day sleeping. Can someone help me take this dog out of depression? Only time will help him and me. But does anyone have any tips and answers? Thanks.I need help training him how to walk with me. With previous dogs I did not have problems walking. My Mini Aussie will just stop in the middle of nowhere and lay down and refuse to go anywhere. I make sure he knows its okay by showing him treats so he thinks it is safe. But it does not work most of the time. He walks with me when I take him to potty but that's about it. Any advice about leash training will be awesome. Thanks.

Dog training peeing in the house?
Ive just had a dog a border terrier 5 months old, its come very attached to me very quickly,.I take him out twice a day and he never pees or nothing when where out until I come home, I quickly say naughty and put him out in the back does anybody have suggestions pls??? thing is I think he was so used to peeing in the house and didnt have no disaplin with the previous owner..he was very nervous dont think he'd ever even been for a walk on a lead before I had him...Ive never owned a dog before and would be grateful of any suggestions, thanx in advance .
Dog Training HELP!!!!!?
I'm 15 and my grandmother agreed to house one of her friend's pitbul puppies. The dog Stella is almost an adult know, she has to be atleast 8 12 months old. Now my grandparents cant go out and play with Stella and give her the attention she needs. The stella doesnt have too many visiters. The owner gave her a little basic training but she hasnt really been socialized. I love this dog and i hate to see her go, so ive agreed to go to my grandmother's house and help to train, walk, feed and all around care for Stella. I havent trained a dog before and i know that Stella isnt the right breed of dog to start with. But if I dont then who will?..... I was hoping you guys had some suggestions that will help the process be as smooth as possible for both Stella and I. All your help and advice is greatly apreciated.
